Creating Device Overview
Although objects are often created via Auto Provisioning in Foundry you can also create them manually. To create an object you must have already created an object template. If you have not done that yet use the solutions guide here. To create an object you can do the main devices page and click "New Object" or you can use the link https://[env].thinglogix.com/#!/createDevice where [env] is either dev, qa, or prod. You should be brought to a page that looks something like this.
Creating Your Object Type
- Select the account you want the object to be under.
- Select the object type.
- If you want this device to be a group. Check the box "It is Group".
- Using the drop-down select the available attributes and add a value.
- Once finished click the create button.
